Avocado’s are very cheap right now.
But i am so sick of buying a bag of avocado’s and only using 1 or 2 of them before they go bad. I love to freeze food, so i thought i would give it a go, they were only going to sit in the fruit bowl going off anyway.
I put 2 avocado’s per zip lock bag, mashed them up a little, so they would lay flat. Easier to store in the freezer that way.
Normally once you cut up a avocado they go brown. But they don’t if you freeze them straight away. No more wasting avocado’s.
Garlic Bread Dip (Ronan name it this)
2 frozen Avocado’s defrosted. I have made this with only slightly defrosted avocados
500 gm cottage cheese
2 tbsp Onion Flakes
2 tsp Garlic Granules
Juice of 1/2 a med lemon
salt and pepper to taste
place all of the ingredients into a food processor and blend until
smooth, you will need to scrap down the sides a few times.
Transfer to a air-tight container, and refrigerate for a few hours to allow the onion and garlic to soften.
